Hotwire Communications has been a long-time supporter of local efforts to give back to the communities in the areas we serve, including those that benefit well-respected groups like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Local sports radio host and former Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder hosted his fourth annual toy drive to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, and members of the Hotwire Communications team were on-site to support the cause – and even brought 200 of co-host Marc Hochman’s favorite lunch – the McRib sandwich (minus the pickles!) from McDonald’s – to share with the crowd. This event is particularly special for members of the Hotwire Communications team, like Harold Dukenik, Vice President of Field Operations, who once benefitted from the support and services provided by the Boys & Girls Clubs. “I know first-hand how the work of the Boys and Girls Clubs can help a child, so it’s a wonderful feeling to now be able to give back to a cause that once helped me,” said Dukenik. Gifts collected from the toy drive were distributed to children and teens who reside in Broward County communities that have felt the current economic impacts of inflation and continued financial effects resulting from the pandemic. Crowder and Hochman setup a live broadcast of their show during the event to help spread awareness.
